Glock Armorer Course

If you’re looking for a quality introductory or refresher course on Glock pistols, American Gunsmithing Institute (AGI) has you covered. AGI offers multiple stand-alone courses that focus specifically on Glock handguns. Depending on you wants and needs, you can enroll in their Certified Glocksmith Course, Certified Law Enforcement Armorer’s Course for Glock, or their basic Glock Armorer’s Course. Courses can be found at AmericanGunsmith.com or in their Course Catalog which is mailed out every quarter or so.

I recommend you get on their mailing list (both electronic and snail mail) as this is a great way to see all the course AGI offers. Courses are offered in a DVD format for those wishing to study while off the grid or in an online format for those with reliable access to the Internet. The basic Armorer’s course will teach you how to completely disassemble and reassemble all generations and variations of Glock pistols—and I mean full disassembly and reassembly, not just afield strip.

You’ll learn how to differentiate between the generations of Glock, valuable troubleshooting methods, maintenance techniques, how to make repairs, and how to do basic customization. If you choose to enroll in the Law Enforcement Armorer’s Course, you’ll be tested at the end of your course and, if successful, receive a certificate and patch. This option is helpful for those needing the professional certification or those needing continuing education hours.
