If I was looking for parts for the Lefever I’d see what was available in the way of Flues models—as long as I could return the mismatches! The sears and hammers look the same but the cocking mechanism is distinctly different. The safety lever atop the gun looks the same, but again inside very different. Another distinctly different aspect is the wooden stock attached to the receiver with four screws, two which double to hold the trigger guard as well.

A couple screws needed replacement and I lucked out finding them at Numrich. They weren’t labeled as Flues replacements but they worked. Something else I tried at Numrich was purchasing a half-pound bag of bolts and screws—I actually found one I could use! I also judiciously epoxied the inside of the receiver wood to assist in getting a really snug fit and to strengthen the century-old wood. I’ve had success glass bedding rifles, so I had a pretty good idea what I wanted to do.

Anyplace that had too much epoxy got Dremeled. For safety sake I decided to handload shotshells using the least amount of powder possible while still being able to knock down some clay birds. I ended up loading 12.5 grains of Titewad and still got 1100 feet per second. An extra 100-150 FPS might make a difference in the pro ranks but for me it works.
