Bantam Tools CNC

The Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Milling Machine is a desktop CNC machine optimized for machining aluminum parts. Intended to be an easy transition for users of 3D additive printers, this CNC machine features a 28,000 RPM spindle, 1/4" tooling, and a 7" × 9" × 3.5" build volume. The 5/8" solid aluminum frame weighs 70 pounds and can be moved with relative ease. This CNC machine ships with a T-slot bed, two toe clamps, and a right-angle bracket to make setup fast and reliable.

Bantam Tools Software uses 2.5D AUTO-CAM, allowing users to drag and drop SVG files and use the built-in automated computer aided design to quickly add engravings to parts or mill simple 2D objects. It also automates material probing routines and provides SVG support, Autodesk Fusion 360 templates, and more. Ian Schon of Schon DSGN uses his for prototyping custom work. "The Desktop CNC Milling Machine is all about material removal in my arsenal.

I was shocked at how much it could do in a short amount of time, and the Bantam Tools software enables you to do things faster than before." Being a desktop unit, this CNC machine is ideal for prototyping and easy enough for use in a classroom to teach CNC as an ideal companion to a PCB mill. The machine comes fully enclosed, is easy to maintain, and ready to use right out of the box. Bantam Tools CNC machines work with Windows and Mac operating systems and the company provides subscription options for software.

Tutorials and project demonstrations are available for free on the company’s website at BantamTools.com. The Desktop CNC Milling Machine is ready to ship to your door for $3,999.
