Bantam CNC Tools
Bantam Tools builds desktop computer numerical control machines with professional reliability and precision. These machines are easy to set up and ready to use right out of the box. The Bantam Tools base machine is a three-axis desktop CNC milling machine ideal for machining aluminum parts, has a working volume of 7×9×3.5", a 250W 1/4 HP motor, ER-11 tool collet, and is fully enclosed and ready-to-use right out of the box. The base price is $4,999.
In response to customer demand, Bantam Tools has added accessories to make CNC milling even better. Made for the Bantam Tools desktop CNC machine, the Air Blaster Accessory allows the CNC machine to increase chip evacuation and airflow at the same time. This increases tool life, decreases cycle times, and improves material finish, making in-house prototyping and part making better. It is ideal when working with heavydebris materials like aluminum or when machining larger chips.
Attached to an air compressor, the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Air Blaster Accessory has a powerful air flow that can be adjusted using a flow-rate knob.
It can also adjust the nozzle to make sure you are blowing air at the right angle for your cuts. "Our customers have been asking for an air blaster and we delivered," said Bre Pettis, CEO of Bantam Tools. "The Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Air Blaster Accessory helps improve apart’s finish, increases spindle life, helps increase material removal rates, keeps temperatures down, and overall, increases the lifespan of your machine and helps make better parts." Nicholas Manousos, executive director of the Horological Society of New York is a Bantam Tools remote resident and beta tester. "The air blaster accessory helps me see toolpaths during longer jobs and makes it easier to catch problems while prototyping that are hard to uncover when simulating in my CAD/CAM software." The Air Blaster is available for $199.
The CNC Vacuum Accessory attaches to the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Milling Machine, allowing for live vacuuming to increase chip evacuation and decrease clean-up time. The vacuum accessory allows for better material visibility, decreased iteration time, decreased clean-up time, a smoother, better finish and helps maintain the life of end mills.
The Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Vacuum Accessory is available for $169. "Our customers have been requesting more accessories to go with their Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Milling Machines, and we have been hard at work creating new accessories such as the Air Blaster and Vacuum Accessory. Both integrate seamlessly with our milling machines." said Bre Pettis, CEO of Bantam Tools.
