Restoration Info I have a Model 67-H Springfield pump shotgun in 12 gauge brought to me in pieces and I need assembly instructions. Also, I’m looking for a supply of .228 barrels for restoring several .22 Savage Hi-Power (5.6x52mm R) rifles. Numrich (gunpartscorp.com, lists Series 67/67-H shotguns made by Savage, Stevens, Springfield, and Fox with a list of available parts and a schematic. Pac-Nor (Pac-Nor.com, makes five-groove 0.228" barrels in 1:8 and 1:10 twist.

While not explicitly listed, Krieger Barrels (KriegerBarrels.com, regularly makes barrels from .20 caliber (.199 bore diameter) to 4 bore (.936 bore diameter) and can probably accommodate you as well. Molina 45 A customer brought this pistol into my shop stating that the trigger is not working. A quick check indicates there is no tension on the trigger. I removed the right grip to examine the relationship between the trigger bar and sear. The trigger bar is in a lowered position and is not engaging the sear at all.

Manually cocking the pistol and engaging the trigger bar with the sear fires the pistol. In following normal function manually, the slide moves to the rear pushing down on the disconnector to disengage the trigger bar from the sear. Continuing the rearward movement, the slide cocks the hammer and resets the sear.

When the slide moves forward into battery position there is nothing that I can identify that lifts the trigger bar to re-engage the sear or the disconnector to return to the upward position and engage the cut out in the slide. Again, with the hammer in the forward position there is no tension on the trigger. Gary Faeth I have completely stripped the frame and slide and thoroughly cleaned and lubricated the pistol. Shearman Artesia, NM John Higgins John’s Gun Repair From author RK Campbell. These pistols were sometimes made of softer steel despite claims to the contrary. This gun works like a Llama (the 1911 pistol made in Argentine) and looks like a Colt. My best guess is that the action bar/trigger bar is too short. Hit it with a hammer to peen it a bit longer and that may work, or at least indicate if it’s the correct assessment. Also of note, the BM has a pivoting trigger. There are no other designs quite like it.
